The Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) charges a $75 application fee for new patients and renewals, paid directly to the state ($2.75 extra for online payments). Physician evaluation fees are separate and set by our office — call us at (561) 797-1977 for current pricing.
After your evaluation, OMMU typically emails your Medical Marijuana Use Registry login within 7–21 business days. Once you submit your application online, processing usually takes about 10 business days.
Yes. You must be a permanent Florida resident with a valid Florida driver's license or state ID, or a seasonal resident living in Florida at least 31 consecutive days per year with documentation such as a lease or utility bill.
Florida Registry ID Cards expire one year from the approval date and must be renewed annually. You can submit your renewal application up to 45 days before expiration.
Yes. Qualifying patients can complete their evaluation with Dr. Abdallah through a secure telehealth visit instead of coming into the West Palm Beach office.
Qualifying conditions include cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, PTSD, ALS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic nonmalignant pain, terminal conditions, and other conditions of the same kind or class as those listed. Yes. All evaluations are conducted in accordance with HIPAA privacy standards, the same as any other medical appointment.
Not necessarily. Reciprocity rules vary by state, and a Florida card does not guarantee purchasing or possession rights outside of Florida. Check the laws of any state you plan to visit.
